MEET DR. JOHN L. PORCARO

Our surgical procedures are done right in our Level 2 office surgery facility, registered with the Florida Board of Medicine. 

I grew up in New Jersey and graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ with an MD degree in 1977. I did a complete residency in surgery and a fellowship in vascular surgery in NJ and was a clinical fellow in ENT and Head & neck surgery at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in NYC. I also completed a fellowship in hair restoration and I have had extensive training and experience in a multitude of cosmetic procedures.

I have had an uninterrupted surgical practice since 1977! I am a Diplomat of the American Board of Surgery and The American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery. I am also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgeons, attaining the  highest  designation (Fellow) from these two prestigious medical societies.

I  had a private surgical practice in Maryland for 20 years at the same hospital and office and was fortunate enough to have had the same medical assistant with me the entire time!

I had always planned to practice in Florida, to enjoy the beauty and to get away from the harsh winters in Maryland, so my wife and I moved to Florida 5 years ago. We have never looked back! Initially, I was an employee for a national company but established ourselves in our present location in Port St Lucie, where we have seen our practice grow.

I Love what I do and I cherish the confidence my patients place in me. I have a thirst to  learn and to continually improve. I enjoy furthering my medical education and I attain many more hours of continuing medical education credits than required by the state.

I strive to meet or exceed my patients expectations . I don't cut corners and I expect the same of my staff.
